Sick! Those look like they'll go FAST!! Show us the finished product when they're done deputybuzz!

I might be flying on Sunday a bit. Not sure yet.

If I did fly it would either be at Poway or Blossom.

Omg!!

OMG!! I maiden my Moth today at the LIL beach Saturday..5:30 TO 7:30...and she is soooo much better than my wings I have... ..I flew the moth the whole time ....I am really impressed and I have a huge smile on my face..There was alot of beach goers asking me questions about the moth and how they can get involved...training...etc...someone asked me if I could teach them to fly...

Chris, you were right that I am going to love it....

Initial toss just needed a couple clicks for adjustment and she was off.

Sweet!!! I remember that feeling. The Moth sure does turn like nothing you've ever flown before doesn't it?

Did you get a chance to weigh it?

By the way, is anyone flying today?

I am not sure if anyone else has done this but I was curious and wanted to save some money as I am really good with a soldering gun

This could help anyone who is building a plank or whatever and you need a kill switch like quick.

I spent $6.00 at radioshack and I can make two kill switches..I saved $18 bucks if my math is correct and that can go into my car for gas..

I am going to install both of them into my wings and see how it works.

Those are nifty switches. You may want to put some kind of flap over it for when the plug is out (and the plane is on) because they can get dirt in them.

I dunno...I've heard that you get what you pay for with those radio shack switchjacks. If I'm not mistaken, the nicer ones have some sort of failsafe double conductor sort of thing going for them. Stereo, maybe? Versus mono?

Congrats Dave. The Moth is a nice flying plane.

Flew out at Poway today. I was really rusty at DSing...hadn't DS'd in like two weeks. Took me a while to get back into the groove. The wind was great but the lift on the frontside was super bumpy. Way bumpier than anything I've ever experienced at Poway. The DSing was ok but at times the shear layer was just all over the place and it was hard to keep a consistent circle going. Seemed like sometimes it would suck the plane into the shear layer and slammed on the breaks. Crazy.

I noticed the updated speeds aren't all there, so I'll help-

Ray went 76 MPH with his HP60

I did 61 MPH (Not 64) with the Moth

Orinator is actually spelled Oranator

Anyway, I think the hill definitely has 100mph in it, just need to get up there when the conditions are right.

James great videos. Alex was amazing with his Moth, since that was kind of the first time he really started getting his groove on. And who ever is flying in the second video really looks like he knows what he is doing ;O)

I am going to have to get some video tips with these cameras from you. Your seem to come out so much better than mine.

Greet footage!
