My latest jets, Wicked Powered!

Here they are...

My HP F-16 (3rd build) & Airfield 64mm F/A-18 Hornet. The F-16 is running Don's Wicked 4800 & 60mm 5 blade fan ( 46 Amps, 630 Watts) & the Hornet has Don's Wicked 4000 with the Airfield 64mm 6 blade fan (43 Amps, 600 Watts). Both fan units dynamically balanced by Don's RC. The fans run smooth as silk & sound sick in the air. Don has the best setups & great customer service to boot!

Cheers!

It isn't anything special...my first scratchbuild ever, but it impressed the guys at the club. "You got cheap Wal-Mart Foam to go that fast with what?" It has the 2700KV motor running on 4s with a 5X3 prop. Just used that cheap foam board from Wal-Mart and leftover wood scraps to put together. Next I'm thinking about buying another motor and making a twin

Wicked 4000's in EDO type II fans, 40A Pentiums 2.6 AH 3S. Custom balanced by Don, super smooth, very quiet. It was built last winter, flew it a few times, and retired it for the summer due to grass runway. Took her out now that the grass is brown and flat, and yeah buddy, it moves out OK. Nice flying plane.

One of my buddies took a sweet pic of a take off. The gang really likes the sound, quiet and jet like.

That's the GWS kit. It flies really well. The only minus IMO is the front landing gear is weak (I replaced it with a DuBro 1/2A gear) and that the nacelles are so large. They make it kind of hard to land on grass but I think it would be no problem on tarmac. Check my blog, I put some construction pics in there, and there are a couple of threads in the GWS vendors section.

Here's my Nitroplanes Airfield F-15 with 4000kv Don's Wicked motor. I wasn't trying to be a speed demon in this video but it does show Don's wicked 4000kv and 40A Pentium make looping the aircraft easier.

Just wish Don had a combo for 90mm jets. My 90mm L-39 is in need of one.

Here is another Freewing F9F with a Don's Wicked 4800 kv and a balanced fan. Don's setup is the standard for this class of EDF. Keep up the good work Don. This plane is Freewing version of the Panther. Freewing's version lacks real ductwork (small intakes and cheater holes) and the plane is pretty draggy in comparison to the Starmax version of the Panther. Even with Don's 4800 kv motor, balanced fan and 52 mm mylar thrust tube the Starmax version in stock form is faster because the airframe is cleaner and it has larger intakes and proper ductwork. I have also run Don's 4800 kv setup in the Starmax version and I would say the difference is at least 10 mph in top speed in comparison to the Freewing version.
