B-777
Eflite airliner w/2x Dons wicked4000kv and 2x pentium 60a esc.3a ubec.
Maiden videos shot at a huge field with long runway.Found the motors more than powerful enough to use a much shorter (and closer) field. Shot with a bushnell speedsterII at 70mph. Not bad for a flying cantalope .4 flights here.2 on tired old 25c and 2 on new but broke in 30c.You can see and HEAR the difference.
Lucky me, the winds just kept rising on each cycle. This last landing was nothing short of dumb luck, and plenty of power.
This was my first edf and it really went well. The sound of those twins..oooh! I'm a "fan" now! Thanks Don! Last edited by Naval Warfare; Jun 20, 2009 at 11:29 PM. |

I think most, if not all of my planes, have, or have had something from The Don in them.
The Don has great products and prices and always stands by his products. Pentium ESC and KA20-20L Last edited by denial15; Jul 10, 2009 at 05:13 PM. |

GWS P-40
KA22-20L and Pentium 30 ESC Okay, so not quite all of my planes, but a lot of them have been Don-afied. I am very happy with everything I've purchased from The Don. I'm sure I'll head back for more. |

Those other, slightly more scenic photos were taken in Vineyard, Utah. I grew up in the area and my folks still have some land down there. It's really nice in the winter because there are a lot of nice fields to land with the ski's. There's also a sod farm close that the owner lets us fly on on Saturdays all year round. |

Wicked 2700 KV------------------$25 2.4 oz (69 g) LiPo 3S 6x4 APC 33a-- 31 oz thrust 21,000 RPM-- 80 mph pitch speed 6 x 4.5 36a--28.5 20,500 RPM-- 87 mph (EST) (my test) 6 X 5.5 39a--28.5 19,000 RPM-- 90 mph (paddle blade CF & low C lipo) Pentium 40 ESC----------$40 3a (switching) BEC 1.2 oz (33 g) Shaft size .125 inch Total wt = 3.6 oz Aircraft wt. w/3S 2200 mah LiPo = 24 oz It was necessary to reverse the factory motor mount to use the Don's Wicked 2700 motor, as I could not reverse the propellor shaft. This required drilling a new mounting hole and tapping it. |
