The only "sanction" you'll find regarding any flying field is one that has "site insurance" or has been registered as being associated with an AMA chartered club.

The list of those will not necessarilly be the same list as where AMA members... and non-member flyers... have gained permission for model flying.

Thus, while you can gain some info by checking the AMA club finder page via www.modelaircraft.org The info available is limited to what has been provided to the AMA by AMA members.

I have a patch that says "I AM the AMA"
I forgot what it cost. I think I got a few on close-out sale last year.
Every AMA member should get one... as a reminder that the organization is made up of the members and without the work of the members the organization gets nothing done.

I read your post. I did not miss any of it. You did not answer my question.

And I have looked elsewhere for the list.

I am making an active effort to locate the list from you guys.

I asked specifically for a list of "Park Pilot Fields" and you did not give me even one field.

Nor did you give me any link to where I can obtain said list.

The link you did give me did not provide Park Pilot fields.

Apparently no such list is available online yet at parkpilot.org

actually... I gave the best link in existance.

No such list specific to park flyer sites exists... yet.

The best list is the AMA's Club finder.

It's a sad state of affairs that after all this time AMA has yet to officially post a list of Park Pilot Field locations!

This comprehensive listing is long overdue for those that have paid their Park Pilot dues already!

And also for those newer folks who are considering AMA Park Pilot membership at a future time.

Just my opinion.

AMA doesn't have a list of all the glow power RC... or any other type... model flying sites.

What they have is a list of clubs and the clubs' primary flying sites, if the club bothered to report the site location.
And if the site hasn't moved since last updated...

A phone call to the AMA can answer your question/concerns.

Let us know what you find out.

Frank

PS If there are none in your area, will you consider starting one?

That's a good point. The AMA site doesn't break it down by Heli, sailplane, or other types as aircraft as well.

Here's the list:

1. Vegas Aces, Las Vegas, NV

If there have been any recent additions, this AMA staffer is is named under PPP Contact Us tab and should know:

"Tel.: (800) 435-9262

For questions about the Park Pilot Program, contact Ben Flesher by email or at extension 275."

When AMA finally does release a list of dedicated PPP flying fields, I will further consider a AMA PPP membership.

Until that happens, it seems to me like yet another bureacratic scheme that was not fully implemented as promised.

Potomac Park Flyers, Wash DC
There is another one but name escapes me

It is up to Park Pilots to form a Park Flyer Club. AMA helps you start and organize a club.

Sounds like a good time to start your own in your area. Why rely on someone else? Make it happen rather than just use an excuse. No offense BTW, but I've seen a lot of people complain about the lack of flying fields in their area, yet never make a single effort to do anything about it.

The ones who complain the loudest about the field not being mowed are the ones who have never gotten on the club's mower....

Yup, that does seem like how it works, doesn't it. Not sure why that is though.
