PICO CUB (UP GRADES ANY-ONE)?
Got a Pico Cubfor my brother in-law to learn with. Ideal plane to start on , very responsive for a R E only and self recovers when you let go of the stick (eccept terminal dives )
Any way I've got it on standard 6v permax 400 motor on six 500 AR cells and I get 3 to 4 mins , nice but I want longer. I don't want to go to NMH cells as his charger only does nicads and I've got 3 packs which rotate quite well. Any one tried a gear box? |

Multiplex do a gearbox for the cub. Its geared 2.3:1 and swings a larger, more efficient prop. I found that it completely transformed my cub with a far reduced amp draw.
You can get the Multiplex 400L gearbox from most multiplex dealers. (Al's Hobbies, Flair etc) Cheers, Alex. [This message has been edited by Smifta (edited 07-29-2001).] |
