I'll let you know when I get brave enough to do one with it.

Thanks to jofrost for hosting the contest and thanks to the sponsors.

Thanks for everyone else for making this enjoyable, voting and providing lots of good threads for reading this winter.

It was a pleasure .

I wouldn't have known where to begin on something like the B24 ...I'm still scratching my head with my B25

Hope to see you all in the fall for FunBuild 2

Thanks John for providing a fun contest -I really enjoyed the build threads, and I somehow built two planes which otherwise would probably still be in plastic bags under other kits in plastic bags

Now I need to get to those other kits...sometime.

Jon,

You built two great looking ( and by the sounds of it ) flying models . I finished two ( wrecked one ) , and Shrubwhacker ( Glenn ) built two beautiful models as well ( got to fly his Cub yesterday ) after things stopped falling off from lack of glue . Almost got to fly his Waco to but he has to fix the elevator first...

And to the others who finished some great looking models that just didn't get a chance to maiden them

Just go through your stack and put aside a good one for the next contest

Now I have to go re-order my Mooney that arrived crushed by the USPS

Sorry to hear about the Mooney . Always a bummer when you get a crushed kit. I hope you do get a good one and get a chance to build it. It's something a little different and a great little flyer.

Well, we have a baby due Oct 8, so next contest will be questionable for me-maybe just one kit next time!

In the meantime all this building has inspired to try a small scratchbuild. Might start a thread when it gets rolling.

I've been having itchings for designing another plane also. I did a little non-scale sport plane a couple of years ago and have been wanting to do more ever since.
