Hyperion EOS DUO-NET Beta logging Software

Hello All,

This thread is intended for technical discussion about and continual improvement of the Win PC Logging Software for Hyperion EOS 0610i Series (NET, DUO) Chargers.

PLEASE use only this thread for all discussion directly related to the development, features, and bug reports for the EOS VIEW logging software, so we can be sure to see all your feedback, thanks.

I will update this first post from time to time with newest version information

Monday June 2: This Beta release has been tested on DUO chargers with v1.2 fimware. The software should also work properly with NET v1.3 chargers, but testing has not been completed as of this writing.
Click Here for EOS-VIEW beta (see "software" section")

"If VISTA reports missing files or some other error when you start the software for the first time, download and RUN this batch file (zipped format):
http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/pc/ware/vistabat.zip The batch file simply insures that all files are correctly registered with Vista, which is something that Vista fails to do properly at times…"

Thanks and Best Regards,

David
Hyperion HK Ltd.

List of Changes Requested:
* Larger (or adjustable) application window size
* A large graphical representation ("fuel bar") showing charged-in capacity

Request: "fuel" or % of charge (like FMA) readout on logging software-the lcd display is too dim/small for old eyes and the logging software readouts are easier to see and more convenient than the cycling display.

Request: auto search or connect on start up.

Here is a simple formula, Nippon Dave: high end market "usually" means "older;" "older" usually means "weaker vision;" therefore, a high end product likely should account for the likely physical characteristics of the likely buyers.

Application Error

I'm getting an error when I try too open the application. I'm running Vista Ultimate. I've tried re registering the tabctl32.ocx file but that doesn't fix it.

Mr. Jam, did you try running as an "administrator?"

I'm using Home, and had no problems.

Hm, I'm also 32 bit and have the service pack. Can you find out what the error message means from Uncle Bill's folks?

Try saving the file to your desktop and then run as admin from there. I have it working just fine on my Vista Basic Laptop.

Tried that, I've tried a lot of things. I'm reasonably computer savvy (I ran a IT service desk for a big oil company for a few years).

The point is if I was a computer newbie having this problem I wouldn't have a clue how to fix it.

Good point. I'm a bit slow and just realized the full import of your post: neither you nor I paid $270 to become honorary beta testers.

And that's why this is a BETA thread. At least everyone has a chance to provide feedback on this, which Hyperion is monitoring, for the final 1.0 (or whatever) version.
