Andy , Get the airframe completed first then you can add the engine servos etc..you can move the battery about to get the correct angle like on this photo..I would say about 14-18 degrees. I have found that it is better to be slightly nose heavy as I had all sorts of problems in the beginning which could have been caused by a tail heavy gyro!

That was quick.

She does look good Rich.

I was thinking of using slightly smaller steel rod for the lower undercarrage arms, and save weight. What are you thoughts?

They should be OK..just dont forget the hardwood blocks, it may be a good idea to face the blocks with 1/16" ply also and increase the stress area!

Thats amazing I was thinking of doing that, great minds think alike they say.

Yes I will finish the body, and add the wood blocks.
I can get the angle of 18deg by moving the engine I hope.

I am getting there.

Thanks Andy! Just use a scheme you will be able to see in the air and can find your orientation. I like checkers under the horizontal stab and bright colors ont top of it. That helps me a great deal.

Keep us posted........

Andy,
Im looking forward to you colour scheme...light bright colours help me
I have stripped my Kellet today to investigate the crash damage suffered the other week..its worse that I thougt the mast has cracked somewhere around the area where the vertical fuz meets the horzontal fuz, the pitch servo has broken a mounting lug and as I was tesing the servos the Digital Hitec rudder servo went 'puff'...see photo. I will have to strip the covering back I think ...Oh well all my doing I suppose!
Have you seen the forcast for the weekend ...not good?

Sorry to see the smoke Rich.
More ebay orders needed perhaps..

If its rain at the weekend then not good to be camping.
It always rains when its Wimbledon week, but not usually all day.

Rich....what is it with us and servos???? Crazy stuff! I rebuilt one last night, moving it by hand and stipped the gears AGAIN. Heavy handed I guess.

I hated seeing the puff of smoke from the photo...but I did that last week myself. The other night....I too install a digital servo on my Profile Kellett on the rudder. I had stripped my plasitc geared servo.

Carry on guys!

Andy....let's see that color scheme!!!!

Hello Rich
Yes the weather is very changeable. The wind may be too strong.

I have not finished my build, don't want to print the reasons why, but will talk when we next meet.

Have sent you a text to your phone, give me a call if you do go.

Andy
