Question
How much KV is too much for 1/5th scale TTFM-1e?

I have aquired a Hacker 5S motor (7300KVapprox.) and its brand new.

I was wondering if this is too much, then I could sell it and get something else.

These aren't the easiest motors to come by, somewhat of a special wind.

I got a great deal .

Help please, I only have a Schulze U-Force 75amp controller.

too much, unless you turn down your endpoints... or if you are doing straight line speed runs.... "power is nothing without control"

I say hold on to it... turn down the power and have fun... no need to waste a good motor... but I say 5700KV on 7.4 volts is more than enough and it seems that is what 90% of brushless riders are using

Could you recommend some gears? I'm usually a direct drive electric boat racer.

Thats a small pinion or big spur right?

Thanks.

Is that the gearing you're running with your 7700....?

Great, thanks. I'll need to order some gears up.

I've got all the sprockets from the early CNR days.

I was one of the first guys on here to get a FM-1e and trick it out about 5 years ago'ish. Just kept it shelved for a long time and now with the new 1/8th's coming out I'm dusting off the 1/5th and piecing back together.

Ya, I'm gonna try and make it out there for both days for a little bit. I'll just be spectating though. I haven't had a chance to get any run time with this TTN that I bought. Not to mention I need to get a new radio since I sold my M11 w/Spektrum module about a year ago.

What's the Y-harness used for....?

I'm guessing the third channel mixing is used for front/rear brakes...?

ya front and rear bias is third channel mixing. since the m8 doesn't have the mixing ability i use the y harrness and set my endpoints for full front brake then program the speedo for the rear brake

Oh ok... that makes sense. I'm gonna probably need some help from you local guys to help setup my bike(s) when I get everything I need. Stubby has already given me a list of some necessity parts.

June is going to be a bad month for me financially with my daughters graduation coming up and some other things that need to get paid.

Sorry for getting off topic....
