Build is on hold after 45 mins.
This is where a hobby lathe comes in handy. If they are missing in my kit, I think I will just whip a couple up. Should only take 10 minutes. Good thing is the manual give the exact dimensions. Beats waiting a week for the replacement.

If it is not too much trouble, run up a few sets while you are at it, some of the other Aussie early adopters might need them too.

Im missing some parts also. The ball's for the servo arms are missing from my kit. Will need to see if I can replace them with alternative versions.

Algin's ball links are slightly larger than MSH versions. So that wont work.

Otherwise the build is going great. Head is done, frame is done. Couple of tweaks I had to do.

1 - Main gear hole was awful tight. right sized drill bit cleaned it right up.
2 - Pulley spacers internal holes are too small. Had to make them larger just like Boyd did.
3 - Washout links to swash are backwards just like Boyd found out. I did the same thing where I pulled the ball through the hole on the link then screwed it to the swash. Worked great.

Back to it tomorrow, want to maiden on Saturday....

Not such a great start to all of this. It seems of the several that have their kits 50% have missing parts. I expect mine tonight and have resigned myself that i too may be missing something. I guess not totally unexpected for a first effort and as down here there is a dealer i expect any of these little issues can and will get taken care of quickly. (Hurry up postie, i want to play)

Ecaf .. check in the box for a packet called 'spares' i also thought i was missing them but then found this packet , it has 3 extra ball links a few screws clips etc ..

with the pulley spacers .. i dunno if i got a different set, but mine went on .. the tolerance is very very close, if you get them just slightly off they wont go on.

Damn that sucks. I am pretty sure I did not get any extras of those, but I can check my kit tonight for you. You never know!

That is exactly what I did. It took som pressure, but they did go on. They were all very close, but they all fit when pressed hard enough with just my fingers.
