I have another T-28 PNP on order. I crashed #1 plane pretty bad. The nose was broken off and the ESC was hanging out with the cover torn off and wires streached everywhere. I thought it was a gonner, so I ordered a replacement PNP and planned on using the crash and burner for parts. Anyways with nothing to do, I start repairing the crashed one and got it looking pretty good, I then thought "what the heck" and hooked up the batt and all electrics, low and behold, it all works perfectly!! So, looks like I'm gonna have 2 birds. One new, pretty one and the repaired crashed one. But I've gotta have another RX. Think I'll watch the 'sell and trade' for a bit. |

That low temp hot melt glue can fix just about any z-foam crash. It's when the glue starts weighing the plane down it time for a new one. I just replaced my grey one after the light pole crash a couple pages back. It had too much glue and a warp in the wing and the fuselage had been broken in half no less than four times. I'm not the best pilot!

Went through 4 2200mah batteries today. It was perfect. 73 degrees, sunny, with a slight breeze. Im getting pretty good with the plane now. Im able to do rolls and loops and low fly byes without even thinking twice about it.
Too bad we have a wind advisory for tomorrow. Its going to get into the 30's and its going to be 25-35 mph winds. Crazy Texas weather. |

Hi Rob, Still haven't maidened the AR6100E I bought from you. It's destined for a simple flat foamie backyard foamie. I have it marked so it doesn't go into one of my larger EDFs. BTW, I was given a AR500 by a friend who bought PKZ ME109 which came with it. He uses Futaba gear. I hope it's good because I put it into FA18 EDF that's not yet been maidened. Bill |

I used the Krylon Short Cuts spray paints that were recommended on this site awhile back. It flakes like most paints on this foam so I covered the paint with 2 clear light coats of satin Minwax Polycryl (also recommended on this site). I have also used Ceramcoat from Michael's for the black trim but it is a brush on and would be hard to do for the whole plane. I did use the white Navy version so I could use less coats of paint. I do have to touch up the yellow periodically where it flakes and stresses when the plane is stressed on hard landings. If you just want to see it better the other suggestion of self adhesive trim strips on the wing underside would be a lot easier. I used paint because I like the yellow version of the t-28 and because we have so many T-28's flying at our field, I wanted something different. For the guy asking about the new AR6110 receiver: When you bind and plug in your servos on this receiver, make sure the black wire side of the plug is up toward the top of the receiver. This receiver is wired opposite to all of the other Spektrum receivers I have such as the 6100 or 6200. Hope it helps, Rick |
