I using bathroom/kitchen caulk to attach the wing to the fuse. It provides a good wobble free connection, and you can always peel it off if you need to.

Took my T-28 out last weekend to try my new Power 10 with a 9x7 three blade prop, replacing all stock stuff. WOW! I can't imagine you'd need more power than that.

Then, after a couple great flights, I had a mid-air collision with a friend's Mustang. The Mustang won. Its prop sliced into my somewhat delicate tailfeathers and among other carnage, broke the clevis off the elevator. It went nose down straight into the pavement. Ouch. It's definitely reparable, and I think by some miracle it didn't bend the shaft. Other than a totally shattered cowl, broken prop, destroyed horizontal stabilizer and elevator, and some fuselage cracks that I can repair, it seems OK. These are durable planes - it hit HARD.

I'm aghast to say I didn't get it on tape. I did take this, though, with my other plane soon after:

Yes the main painted wing comes with the LG mounts but if you buy the bare unpainted wing then you do not get the mounts

Couple of vids of my T-28 Trojan. I upgraded the motor to a 480 plus with a 40 amp ESC and stock prop. The 1st video is of a dead stick landing when my prop decided it would rather be some place else 34 seconds into flight. The 2nd is just me and some friend chasing each other in the park.

Motor needed

Well it happened. My t28 lawn darted into the pavement. Airframe is back together, but my motor makes some noise like bad/cracked bearings or something. With all the modded engines, does anyone have a motor they want to get rid of "reasonably priced"?

Let me know.

Thanks.

Michael

If you can't find a cheap one here, you can find a bearing set for the Parkzone 480 at http://www.bocabearings.com the part number is #BMK-023 for $14.95. They are pretty easy to replace, just take the set collar and spacer off the back of the motor and the can and shaft can be removed in one piece. Tap the old bearings out with a small punch and install the new ones. You probably damaged the front bearing when you hit the pavement.

Question, only been flying my t-28 for a little while and I have put in a 2.4 rx to replace the stock setup. The servos don't move smoothly. They are very choppy.
Is this due to the 2.4 hitec rx? Should I upgrade them?

Your gears could be stripped in the servos, coincident in time to when you changed. I wouldn't fly it. Either go back your original rx, or get a servo tester, or take apart the servos carefully and inspect the gears. Just advice from me to you.

I'm sure its been ask before but got to ask again cause I can't find it. Is there any way to cool the ESC? With it being in that foam so tight it seems get pretty toasty on mine and my dads.

JohsB, do you cut the shrink wrap away from the heat shrink? That helps.
