I got chewed out in the A-4 thread for mentioning a non GWS fan unit and Mr.Lin allows this in the F-4 one , Teasing guys.

Pat, you need to have another A-4 done by at least Oct of next year . Gotta have a wing man.

Racie, I know you have said you like GWS and have started posting in my A-4 thread. GWS makes sweet birds even if they do have growing pains. I dont know one model that hasn't had any. But the fact of the matter is many of us are waiting for the F-4, Mig-17, and U2/V2 but are all STILL waiting due to GWS cash flow issues. Not anyones fault really as the economies of the various countries is beyond anyone persons control.

Moral of the story lets all play nice .

I believe GWS is doing whatever they can to survive in a country
that does NOT bail out companies in "less than perfect" economic
times.

I would not even begin to tell Mr. Lin what to do or how to fix all
this. I AM sure that he is smart enough to do what needs to be
done to survive this economic roller coaster ride. GWS more or
less invented the "Mass Produced, low cost styrofoam RC kit"
concept. Offering low cost simple, basic and functional semi
scale models to the public. GWS still has a great market share
in that area. Their models are close enough to scale to be easily
modified for realistic models and easily upgraded to higher
performance. They will never be an Alpha or Flying Styro kit.
But, has anyone ever heard of an Alpha or Flying Stro kit for
$50? With a little work and skill, they can look and fly just as
well (or better). It appears as though GWS is at a crossroads
as well. GWS is moving toward higher performance, larger and
more expensive aircraft. The sluggish economy and markets
that expect new and improved products constantly makes this
even more difficult to do.

I for one hope GWS makes it through this period and continues
to create new and interesting products well into the future. I
honestly believe Mr. Lin is only guilty of being excited about
GWS R&D efforts and wants to share these with GWS customers.
The "Dangled Carrot" theory only works IF you have a product
that is currently ready for release. Which obviously is not the
case. The most recent example is the U-2. No one else has a
U-2 kit. Why would GWS try to make customers wait for the
GWS U-2 when there are only two options, wait or build one
from scratch? I believe GWS is being honest with us about
the Cash Flow issues. From the number of Govt. Bail Outs in
this country lately, it makes a lot more sense than the "bait
and switch" theory.

Just my two cents worth.

FYI, About 1/2 my current flying fleet is GWS based. The rest are all
scratch built from plans.

Which is what I've been trying to say all along. Thank you A for making the point more eloquently than I apparently did.

Too big. GWS could have made the F86 instead of a few other low sellers and had a killer. Basically nobody has a solid foam park size F86. Maybe the Kamdax, but I don't know what type of kit forms it comes in, and it's barely marketed. The Alfa is expensive and you only get one chance. Not much of a mishap and it's totalled. GWS could have hit the mark on this one, and not had 30 other manufacturers make the same thing.

I am sorry to keep you guys wait so long.

Eventually, we will let those new EDF models come. It's a hard time at this moment.

GWS USA still had a lot of current models.

Do you have F15? A4? J10? Me262, A10, P38... many of GWS new WW-II?

USA buying qty. dropped very low at this days. We need to carefully for more new models.

Yes, I have at least one each of these and in some cases (F-15 = two). I
also have a Beaver on floats, a Mustang, a Five year old Tiger Moth, a
Tucanomosa (Formosa), DC-3 and a DipStick (slow stick on floats).

You could have a sale? That's what US companies do when they want
to get rid of old inventory to make room for new more expensive products.
Works like a charm.

Just a thought.

I have an A-10, ME-262, FW-190, P-38, and P-40. I will pick up a couple of ME-109's and I am looking forward to buying the F-4 if it ever comes out.
