Oh, try to provide more opportunities to let all of us show " appreciation". I thought it's scheduled in PD plane in all detail before you start it?

Yes!

The proto type will be never better than molded foam pcs.

You can see the similar final result refer from A4.

I was talking about the prototype of the actual, real life, F4 Phantom. It had a short stubby nose like you have built into your model. I wasn't talking about the prototype model.

The molds will be made by CNC, should be more accurate than hand cut proto type.

Mr lin,
I think you are on the right track with the F4, it looks to be a good size to me. Scale look will be real important on this jet to make people happy though.

It may be posible to make a foam insert that could be used for either one edf75 or two 55's. If not then guys like myself would modify ourself for two fans if we choose.

This is going to be a winner....enough room to store everything, big wings for low speed handling and additional add on eg retracts. Good platform to build the various versions and finally there is a very big fan base for t he f-4.

With a all flying tail would complete the scale. Additional time spent researching and providing option for the various nose extention would be invaluable and not difficult. This is 1 of few aeroplanes that would appeal to the european as well as the Americans.

Count me in for the early bird programme for testing and fine tuning. I am a big fan of the f-4 myself. As far as the decal option, there a many very nice annivesary livery for the phamtom. May be can run an on line poll to choose. Lastly, as a scale modeller, the water transfer for the j-10 was a great improvement, however it lack detail stencil sticker like 'no step' and no push' and various grd servicing info. There were lots of empty space between design on the decal sheets, adding this detail would not cost any extra and would greatly detail the planes to a professional finish.

Perhaps the kit can come with different nose pieces to match different variants.

For those that say the nose is wrong here are photos of the types of F4s we were flying out of DaNang in '68 and '69. These may not be actual squadrons during that period but do show the correct nose profiles for that period (the VMFA-323 shot in the middle looks like the North end of the DaNang runways). The first two are F4s and the third is an RF4.

On these early variants that was not a gun under the radome but rather an optical unit.

P.S. During my stay in beautiful Southeast Asia. The following Marine F4 Squadrons were deployed to either DaNang or Chu Lai flying F4Bs, F4Js, and RF4Bs: VMFA-115, VMFA-122, VMFA-232, VMFA-314, VMFA-323, VMFA-334, VMFA-542, and VMCJ-1.
