What have you liked and did not like in the last bunch of kits.
The poor choice of decals!!

The 262 was the last kit with good decals (and I mean for schemes and markings - not if they were waterslide or not)

The P-40 had some very good decals as well. At least they weren't just AVG.

I'd have to see a FOT sample to see if anything else needs to be tweaked before production.

That nose is terrible.... I'm assuming they don't really plan on it looking like that...

I wonder if they were looking at this type of picture...
Is it just the paint that makes it look different than usual?

Which version of the F-4 do you plan on molding?

This one:

B/C/D/J/S

Or this one:

E/F

See how they are completely different shaped noses? Decals for an F-4E wouldn't work on an F-4J.

Maybe GWS can make several different decals sets. If you size the printing right so you can put the sheets in an A-4 sized envelope. Then many different sets could be mail ordered from GWS direct.

I wonder if they will actually listen this time.

The last time GWS asked for ideas on the A-4, we sent all kinds of suggestions....................and what happened? They sent one pretty boring set, and there wasn't much there too boot.

OK folks - break out your PhotoShop and Paint - get cracking! Mr Lin is READING this thread and has show an interest in our collective requests. Do I hear a Yeha!

I don't expect them to incorporate all the requests, but I think a few.

OK - decals. I'll humble myself to see if someone can craft a "WW" tail flash, serial # AF 69-261, a TAC shield, and the obligatory sharks mouth. Including a couple of "formation" markers would be fine.

Jim

F4J photos

I think the F4J is one of the most well known versions from the Vietnam war. I like the schemes used by VF-84 and VF-96 navy squadrons. You can find the stories behind the photos on the web here and here.

Edit: There is also the video posted previously with interview with one of the the pilots the second link. The youtube description incorrectly says it is F4E, but the plane was actually a F4J. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkKbOtedzoQ.
