Bill, I'm still waiting on the ESC and RX for my Hoten but that's OK as I've been able to spend some time working on a Light Kit for the Ladybird. It's an 8-0805 SMD LED set using my LDCCD for power and weighs only 1.38 grams. I'm waiting for MK to confirm his mailing address so I can send a set to him for testing and evaluation.

Regards,
John

MK, you'll have to solder the power leads to something. I suggest the underside of the PCB so the LDCCD sits under the PCB above the battery cage.

John

Never ready for winter....
I keep pretending that if I ignore it, it will go away. It was in the low 20's this AM and I had to wait for the wash machine to thaw before I could do laundry. Spent the day , yesterday, chinking up holes and trying to seal a bit of the draft out. Still only have insulation in 1/2 the the wall we intend to keep. Putting that stuff in exist closed walls is a pita.

While Tracy is off school over the holidays, we're moving the bed from the living room.
Our temporary BR is an 8 X 14 section, where the trailer was. It's wall coverings are chip board and weathered 2 X 6. The ceiling is tongue and groove redwood. I have a few pieces to put up so it's walled from the kitchen and LR.
Got some blocks and a bag of Portland to build my pseudo chimney. essentially a 3 walled brick s-ithouse that will encompass 2 length of single wall pipe before it changes to triple wall and exits through the "roof".. I plan to cut a couple of vents above the mantle

that's the plan...anyway.

Hi all,

Hope everyone's doing well.

Still waiting for my Hoten electronics to return from Walkera, should have them in the next couple of days. In the mean time I decided to dust off one of my RC Kyosho Half Eight's and built a CF mount for the #16 cameras...way too much time on my hands. Anyway here's a little onboard video I made.

Kyosho Half Eight Onboard Video. (2 min 8 sec)

Maybe next year I will ween my way back into heli world. It looks like so much has changed in the past year.
Bill, I got your letter. Thank you very much it did arrive at the perfect time.
I have been a little busy zipping up and down the coast every weekend on the bike.
It is even more fun when it doesn't rain on me.

mk, cool look forward to seeing how they work out.

Got my repaired Hoten RX and ESC back from Walkera last Saturday. I have to thank Terence for taking good care of me and convincing Walkera to do the repair free of charge. I sent the RX and ESC directly to Walkera they repaired them, sent them to Terence in Hong Kong and he then sent them back to me. Took about 6 weeks but well worth not having to spend $130 on new components.

Anyway, I had time to reassemble the Hoten today and it binds so I'm ready to rock and roll. While the RX and ESC were being repaired I built and installed a CF camera mount for my 808 #16 cameras to take some aerial video. I also built and installed an 8-3mm LED Position Light Set for some night flying...should be fun! The 3mm LED's are extremely bright it's difficult to take a decent picture of them but at least you can get an idea of what they look like.

It's windy and rainy here today so it will be a couple of days until I can get out and give it a test

Regards,
John
