Bill, UFO#8,4G3 and 4#3A/B in Australia. Now with our U.S. correspondent Uncle MK

Hi Everybody!
This thread was first started so I could try and buy some 4#3B's when they first came out,But I didn't finish up buying any in bulk.
So now it has become a friendly Aussie and Friends hangout.
It started revolving around Walkera 4#3B's,but it is pretty much anything goes now and I hope people enjoy the light hearted atmosphere in this thread.
I hope new heli flyers feel free to ask their questions and express their concerns here.
A phrase I read in another forum.
"There are no silly questions,Just silly answers"
We all share this thread,so please let me know if you want a link added to this first post and if I get lazy with keeping this up to date.Just let me know.
I would like to add a few more pictures and videos to this thread.
Ok,Strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride.
A really cool way to fit canopy grommets
Here is my trusted and reliable Walkera parts supplier in Australia
A very usefull list of micro heli lingo for those starting out
Here is GITech's handy fishing line mod to help with boom strength
Here is some handy little tools for the hobby Mini machine tools
Here is a great tutorial thanks to 1Hammer for soldering Micro deans http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1161857
As I get time,I will try and add some usefull links in this first post for easy searching.
The kinds of things we are all tired of searching for over and over,so let me know if you want any links placed in this first post for easy reference.
Here is a video which I love to watch.
Lake Tahoe Sugar Pine Point Aerial Video (3 min 22 sec)

I lost it for a while,So I have posted it here so I will be able to find it again later.

Hi Jasonjetski,

I am seriously considering getting a 4#3B as I am just able to fly my 4#3 but it is in a very sorry state after my abuse of it in learning on it as my first FP (not counting coaxials). The 4#3B looks great. I will order one soon no doubt.

Cool,I thought I was the only one in Australia who knows about them.
If there are enough people flying them here,I will order some bits for them.
Maybe even a couple of complete units and one upgraded to brushless.

Airborne are usually the first off the mark in Oz and I have not seen anything on it in their site so far.

I havent seen any advertisement for the 4#3B at any of the Aussie websites.
Airborne RC has not had much change in over 2 months.
Maybe they are sitting on something big.
I tried my other 2 suppliers and they said "Not in the near future"

Thanks Brett,You are not too far away from me.Iam at Blacktown, but I spend a lot of time working at the beaches.
I ordered one off tterence, but if you will be keeping spares. That would be great.
Something tells me I will be buying more than just one of these.

I was thinking that myself. You bought one that was made with personal attention.
Iam scared the mass production ones will not be as good.

Iam in Sydney.
I just got mine last night.(it was waiting for me)
I pre-ordered mine from a fellow RC Groups member Tterence.
He is not the cheapest in the world, but he will give you great service and he won't screw you around.
Mine took 5 days regular post from http://www.chinesejade.com/walkera.htm
At that price, you get a great heli.Insurance and postage.
The only thing if you do buy from him is check the battery charger is to fit Australian sockets. Mine came as 2 round pins,But it isnt a problem because I have the adaptor to suit. But if you dont it would be a pain in the bum.
There is another that is half the price until you look at all the hidden costs and rubbish ehirobo I think is there name.
I'd rather just pay $178.00US ($193.00AUD I think it was) and sleep easy knowing I will be happy.
