don't forget the V2 has a 1220 motor as well so it might work out to about the same as before. I'm sure the A will have longer flight time over the B.

Yes you are probably right - but I am sure its a question a few people will ask on this and other forums so its worth finding out.

Is this motor better than the V1 motor? And can I use this motor in the V1?

So if I put a 2.4ghz Rx in my v1, can I use my DX6i ?

Thanks!
You could, but its neither cheap nor easy. Your Dx6i will not bind to the Walkera receiver. You would need the the Spektrum nano 6300 receiver on the heli and it will not work with one cell. If you go to two cell packs then you will need to go full brushless or you will kill your stock motors. And also you would need to run a seperate gryo and esc. There was a user in the forum "The Steve" than figured out how to convert a Spektrum reciever to run one cell but they are expensive....100 bucks and I believe he is not doing it anymore for lack of interest.

I'm not sure. I don't have it on hand. I would assume so.

I'm buying one as soon as I can. I liked my 4#3 and of all the heli's this one really taught me how to fly and how to throw a heli against a wall (eh.. either way it flew) Though I really do wish they would get rid of the canned motors and just give us brushless. BTW anyone want to buy a 4#3 with spares? Only been crashed 1,243 times and thrown twice.

I noticed on the jade site that there is/will be a brushless option/upgrade. Wonder when and how much. I would like to get one of these small helis.

would take:

new blades
new frame
new servos-so much nicer!-no twitches by flight 200+!
new flybar--this is worth it if nothing else!-imagine not adjust your paddles for 200 crashes!(flights)
new head
new bladeholders
new swash
new main gear
new canopy
new 4in 1
new motor
l/g-looks and fits the same-think it is tougher!

boom and tail and seesaw is about all that is the same

I bet if I added it upwould cost the same as v2-just get a v2!

yes but differant pinion-I think with new gearing it isnt working as hard either

so far almost 125 flights on first motor -no heatsink even-no change in performance that I have seen

I dont push my lipos-prefer to cycle through them instead-but remember-4#3b,even with metal only weighs 48g(a little under I think)

would like to see someone get a 4#3a to fly-might be as nice as 4#3b-but lighter!

as anyone who has hung out around micro helis knows-I am truly impressed with 4#3b!

I have flown most common helis, mostly sub -micro- 4#3b is 10 times better than 4#3-of which I had built/owned many-in all incarnations.

It makes me believe that someone at walkera is actually reading this forum-and taking some of our hard won beta testing to heart!

other than the boom(same as v1) which was always my weakpoint-everything else about this heli is better than v1!

though could argue that blades are weaker-unlike v1- v2 blades actually break- like ALL other helis!

probably 1000 crashes on my v1-only dinged blades

v2-snapped 1 blade in half on about flight 55(ok, it was my fault-fff 1" away from a tall curb in the wind...), the other in another mysterious crash into a picnic table at full throttle

but all in all a great heli-
if it was only cp.....

(all together now--we believe in 4g3!, we believe in 4g3!)

dont hesitate-this is nicest heli under 1 pound that I know of!

my frustration right now is flight time question-buy more lipos people!

doing 5 minute flight will save wear on your nerves, lipos and motors!

2-3 charger and 6-10 lipos and you could fly non stop if the motors could take it!

less than the price of a 450 lipo you could fly all day!

dont see how far you can drain the battery! lipos hate that! and can be damaging!

also give you a chance to check over heli -see if anything is slipping..

imagine over 200 flights on the v1 without having to adjust your paddle!-seriously-over 200 before I had to even align a paddle! still cant get over that alone!

Is there anyone in Sydney or even Australia that is going to buy a 4#3B?
I have looked at my local supplier's websites and they have no mention of the 4#3B
Maybe I should invest a little bit of money and keep some parts here if there is enough people down here.

So you're saying that the 2.4ghz receiver won't bind to my 2.4ghz transmitter?
Why? Should be as simple as inserting the correct binding plug.

But that "was" the question. Will the new 2.4 receiver bind to a standard 2.4 Tx?

If not, I'll either just scrap my v1, and buy a 4#3 v2
Or just scrap this whole thing.
Yeah, it's a fun little heli, but I got tired of having to constantly replace things. And not through crash damage, just through cheap azzed parts, and crap QA.

Right now, based on my experience with the v1, I can't see myself spending $180 on the v2.
