Sig Riser 100" Build

Over the last weeK iv been emailing/chatting to Pegasus Models about the Riser 100" glider kit so i made my mind up and payed for a kit on Monday and i recieved it today (Tuesday) morning before 11am and Pegasus Models are good on price.

www.pegasusmodels.co.uk

Iv opened the box to check the parts/bit and to see how the kit looked and i must say it does look very well made and been cut nice and looks a simple and a nice build

Im going to start the build in the next few days but just thought i would post a picture or 2 of the kit.

Any comments welcome

Ive had several over the years. Its a fun plane. It will suprise you that it takes about 5 minutes to build a completed wing panel.
Enjoy!

Do a Riser search and look at the fuse strenghening suggestions. They will save you some trouble.

The Riser 100 is a great airplane for the money and for the ease of build. You'll love it!

It will be miles better! I am but a lowly balsa basher.

Measure twice, cut once.

Really want to get into the Albatross now.

About five months ago I lost a Riser 100. Attached is the 2nd Riser 100 without the turbulators in the wing. Wing is sheeted top and bottom back to the spar with caps on the ribs from spar to trailing edge. Ribs had to be modified. Haven't flown it yet. Awaiting better weather. First Riser 100 was a great plane. I glassed both from the nose back almost to the tow hook. It needs it.

This is a nice looking bird. How does it fly compared to the Spirit 100?

I'm not familiar with the Spirit 100. My first Riser 100 was a floater(with turbulators) and was a great plane. My present one should fly faster. Plan is to fly it next week some time. weather is getting better.
