Bill,
Looks good. Have you thought about trying outrunners?

This other project has been slowing me down.

Hey Mr. Linn, here is a plane for those high power edf 40's.

Cheers--Stacker

B1 (I think that's what it is) looks good!
I've used Donsrc outrunners in EDF55 and 64 fans with good results, but that's about it. I'd be interested to know what Dons Extreme or an LSJS would do in the Microfan on 4s. Heck, maybe 5s.

I know about the slowdown thing. I took a long break to build a Peter Rake Bristol M1c, and now I have an A4 coming in the mail tomorrow, or Sat. That's why I figured that I'd better get these nacelles done now, or never. I'm a bit more excited to try my LS1400 setup in the A4. Since I already have a GWS262, I may just finish the wing to match my finished 262, and try it on it.

I saw this familiar looking Me 262 nightfighter, but did not see it fly or meet the pilot at the Las Vegas Superfly 2008.

Uli,
I'm sorry we did not meet at Superfly. I did the maiden flight Sat. morning and the nightfighter flew super! Rvincent then flew 4-5 more flights both days. Here is a utube video of last flight flown by Bob (Rvincent) filmed by FresnoJay.

D-Rock,
Thanks, I'm sorry the build thread got trashed early.

Antenna were a real pain!! I used some plated music wire and had some berrilium (sp) for the sides. Also I used small copper wound cable for the vertical soldered to the music wire. Lots of work. A friend suggested molding from polyurethene and I think this would be a good option. Next time though it would be easy since it is done once.

Stack,

This thing is a masterpiece, both on the ground and in the air. I have some pics and video that I will be posting soon.

I thought I had some video, but I just reviewed everything on my camera and sadly I do not. But it looks like Jason got some.

Stacker,

A seriously impressive Nightfighter version of the GWS kit...!

Amazing work, I have sent you a PM.

Hello Mr. Lin

Would the experimental brushless outrunner motors fit into EDF55 units as easily ?

If that is the case, I would be very happy to 'test' two of them for you within my EDF-55's !

Keven.
