It's an early prototype of the HT-FPV from Whitespy/ Hoverthings. I've really enjoyed it. It is stable and dependable and believe it or not, we use it for some tough to film motocross and other x-games sports. I'm using the Gopro 2 so it has to be post processed stabilized but for certain shots it really captures the moment.

I've had the Open Pilot CC on it but prefer the NAZA for filming and FPV. It does not have a GPS unit but is really stable and has been a dream.

Here are some pics.

I think my next FPV quad is going to be the QAV500. Only after I finish this project...

Oh man, those quad pics are killing me. I want one that works!

Here are a few reasons why I miss my quad. Just a few shots from the 30 or so flights I got on mine before it crashed and stopped working.

Good Grief, Davidpe... I don't think we've ever met, but I can already tell from those octo pics you just posted that I dislike you intensely...

... from jealousy of course, not cuz you're not a nice guy! Hehe.

I'd love to see that big octo fly. When you get it done, can I tag along and watch?

Oh no! Rumors are that the new GoPro Hero3 uses MICRO SD cards rather than standard SD. Crap! I just bought a bunch of new SD cards. Grrrrrrrr.

Absolutely, I should have it done in a week or so. I'll let you know.

So ready made rc is out of stock on everything.

How does this look? I'm ready to make my purchase soon.

Looks like this doesn't come with a camera I would need this as well?

Looks like a good solution. I have never used the foxtech equipment as I've always been overly happy with the service from RMRC. Their packages show out of stock but I think you can still piece together what you need in the individual components. Have you settled on the 5.8ghz freq? Are you going to use goggles or a screen to view the video transmission?

Here's another that looks pretty good. This guy is pretty active on some of the FPV forums. He's down in AZ so you would have it much quicker than Foxtech. Just an option.

I'm not set on the frequency. I chose 5.8 so I can grow into the dragonlink and the 15 mile range.

I will be using a monitor, no goggles. I like to have los for landing etc. Plus I wear glasses and don't think they'd be comfortable.

I like the 5.8 frequency a lot however I think I prefer the 1.3ghz for quad FPV. 5.8 ghz is a really clean signal if you have no obstructions like trees, hills, buildings, etc. 5.8ghz is known to have problems with multi-pathing, or destructive interference resulting from reflection/ refraction of radio signals. 1.3ghz has less of an issue with that but does not provide the same level of video quality. It's really a trade off and your freq decision will depend greatly on where, how, and what you fly.

Hope I'm not confusing you. I use both for different applications.

So the range is less on the 1.3?

I'm going to learn on my wing, but will be ordering a dji f550 with naza and gps very soon.

And do those packages I posted come with the box or whatever it is to connect to a monitor, or is that separate?
