With my better half, if I keep the ammo locked up I'll get a lecture! She keeps a .380 revolver in her night stand and a .380 semi-auto and I keep a .45 (Springfield 1911) and a few extra clips. If a balsa thief ever comes in, he's not going out.

Darn right bubba! Wife has a standing order to cover the shop and worry about her jewelry last.

Health-wise, I am happy to note that my pseudo Levis are having difficulty maintaining altitude. I'm gonna need a smaller set soon.

Hi Katie, well done!
When you shuck off those old loose duds, send a few rounds through 'em and consign 'em to history good and proper.

Building board size for Oly III

I'm setting up a building board, and I know that at some point I want to build an Oly III. Can anyone tell me what the longest wing panel is on an Oly III that I'll need to pin down? Can I get away with 36" or will I need 48".

I don't remember the exact dimensions on the OIII but I'd go 48" if you can. Never had a building board too long. Also, if you're going to build the fuse on the same board I'm postive anything less than 4' will not work well.

The plans are 73" wide, each wing panel is 66", with the center section 33" & the tip 33".

Wow, I did forget everything about the Oly III. At least I was right about making a bigger building board.

I really, REALLY need to get on mine. Still think I'll build two wings, one full house and one RE. Would be fun to compare.

G Don,

Sorry, been a while since I've been on the groups. WOW! Your artwork is absolutely stunning! The video turned out very well and I know it will bring you some business. How long does it take to create these sculptures? Any plans for more/different? Great job, G Don, you's a crafty one .
