Hi DW
In my years of pro racing if the Boss is not a real cool guy, the team is not 100 percent. If the boss is a really cool they give 110 percent, sports teams run the same way. Now and then a great coach & owner comes along and each guy really goes all out for them and dominate for a few years, like Roger Penske and Chuck Knoll to name two. Jerry is just not one of those guys!! Just my 2 c worth G Don |

Token on-topic comment: ......... Well, shucks. I can't think of anything. Both Dory and I are oddballs, and don't follow sports much. Heck, we're barely watching the America's cup, and it's going to (Did? Can't find good info at all on it.) happen right here!
Hey, eagle watchers: post the link for me? I want to watch, too. We have 'em around here, but no eagle cams. If there's a perigrine cam still going, I'll post that one here. Today I saw good news: It's no eagle, but there's a red tail nest just across the way at work. I saw one working on it just now. I'll try to get pictures. I remember one time two years ago when mom was feeding baby, and dad was waiting nearby. He dropped baby's breakfast, and I SWEAR I saw him sneak a look to see if mom saw it fall, before taking off to find another tidbit. I'll try to get pictures- they're rather unpredictable. |

Hi Guys
I need to bend a 1/8" thick sheet of balsa 1 3/4" wide, 1/8" against the grain over a lengh of 5" Was thinking of soaking it in hot water and clamping until dry, do you think this idea will work? or is there a better plan but i can't use any chemicals i'am way too sensitive. It is my fuse bottom and it just does not feel right clamping it while the glue drys with that much of a strain on the wood. It would sure be better just clamp & glue with the curve in it. Thanks for any input. G Don |

Thanks, Don!
Sean, I got the covering today. Tough stuff! I can just picture it covering a full scale (real) airplane. Neat-o! I'll give it a go when I get a chance. Tomorrow and Wednesday look full, maybe Thursday. I am eager to see if it'll take the dye. Just imagine someone trying to do a whole plane this way. Hah! |
