Nurse!

I doubt you would be Jack, when it rains. No nurses in my sights just yet, doc's appointment tomorrow though. But there is a barmaid I've been chatting with, and she's very un-goth much to my eternal relief.

You can't beat small town hospitality! I've met half the town and everyone knows my story. Its an old cattle and mining town of yesteryear, looks the same as it did in the fifties I'd say.

Couple of pics, please forgive the lack of aeromodelling content- I'll work on that as I go..

Wow Steve, neat photos. I really like the third one. Did you go B&W on that?

Yeah mate, just a little digital camera trickery, takes all the skill out of photography these days.

I'm really looking forward to getting into central New South Wales, there is a little gliding town called Narromine out there and I want to treat myself to a joy flight in the real thing when I get there, I think thet have a duo Discus doing rides.

Alright Steve! Duo Discus is a sweet ride. However, keeping in theme, you'll need to also grab a ride in something woodie, at least go back to the 60's, possibly an ASK-13?????????

I really like the way you went B&W on that digital shot. It really captured the essence of the place. Gives me some ideas.

Dude! I thought you were motor biking ! No wonder you need a nurse. Your legs will look like Arnold's used to when you get back . Looks like a great time Steve, how's the weather holding up for you? Are you tenting or rooming at local stays?

Ahh, yes what I would give! Doesn't look like they have that oldy for hire;

Guess I'll just have to turn up and see whats on offer for that week.

Good news from the Doc; no tendon damage, just a bit of excess fluid pressure from rubbing around it. I'll be here until Monday to make sure it comes good. In the meantime I'm in the quest to shed some kilo's from my kit and clothing, for less pedalling pressure.

Don; pretty good winter weather, mostly. Perfect bloody inland thermalling weather actually, and here's stupid old me without an RC glider! I'm just cruising along, taking the time to look at things, its not to strenuous, I'm loving it. - yeah I'm self sufficient if need be, with good cooking gear and a nice tent, thermorest self-inflating matress etc, but I'm also happy to stay in nice old grand hotels also, the aussie country towns always have a couple at a good nightly rate with meals thrown in.

This picture sums up the week here nicely;

Steve,

I think I'm gonna use your photo in post #4361 as wallpaper and also that statement as my lifelong theme.

Steve, now tell the truth! you didn't use digital trickery to make the photos B&W. that's just the way things always look in Biggenden, What the hell are you doing there?, and further still, where to from there? I head through there every week, so If I can find you I may be able to bring something for you to have a fly with (pike perfect)....not wood though sorry
