I do rememeber about the phone books Jack and have been collecting them . Dang, 20 seconds ain't long, but, I guess if you're prepped and ready and have the other glue in place, it's enough time. Hmmm, a one shot process and 20 seconds to get it right . I'm going to have to practice .

Another tip about the Gorilla snot... I apply it to dampened rib tops and then blot some off with a paper towel... that goes immediately to file 13... Helps with that weight build up thing.

I used Gorilla Glue on a few builds and it is perfect in the right situation. I experimented and practice a while before commiting. What Jack said is right. You can just about guarantee that whatever amount you apply will be too much. I used a Q-tip to apply to rib tops, one side dipped in the glue, the other dry to smooth/remove the excess.

Don't thank me, Jack, thank the little woman of the house, who's Q-tips I steal on a regular basis.

Actually, to be more specific, I steal her makeup applicators, available in the cosmetics department at finer Wal-marts everwhere. They're tighter wrapped, a bit longer, have a pointy tip and don't leave cotton fibers stuck in the glue like the old swabs. Cost is a bit higher but hey, she's paying for them and if you don't get too greedy and you space out your procurement missions a bit she usually doesn't notice............usually.

For guys who fancy themselves as builders of wooden planes, here is the apotheosis:

It's a huge file and takes a long time to load and view, but it will make a lasting impression, I guarantee.

Different glues for different tasks. I'll post my thoughts later, out of time right now.
