What props did you run? These should be able to throw a 10" prop pretty easily, maybe an 11 incher; pending pitch.
I noticed they do not list a prop suggestion on that link. You answered your question though, get out the watt meter OR do a google search to see if someone already went through what you are going through and posted the results for everyone to see.

Yeah, he had GWS 3-bladers on there. While they are nice looking props, they are notoriously underpitched for most applications.

The motors sold at RCHotdeals used to be the basic suppo motors, also sold by LightflightRC, which has actual prop test data on their website. The motors now being sold by RCHotdeals have the same nomenclature, but look noticeably different. I've got a few of the newer 2208 sized motors, and while they pull "roughly" the same numbers as the old suppo's, I don't know if the maximums are the same.

I've been threatening to do a bunch of prop tests on the motors to figure efficiency #s, but found that they use a 10mm bearing tube, and everything I had set-up was for 8mm tubes.

Thanks, Rick, but the Lanc had 3-bladed props and if anything, I would go 2-bladed props for the flight, then put 3 bladed GWS props on for display.

That said, it's a matter of finding the right 2-bladed props, but I'm still gonna start with the PZ 109 props, which are a full 1.5 inches greater in diameter AND still nice and stiff.

I think it has the potential to fly really well for a scale airplane. Just a few suggestions if you are going to fly it again....
Add a little more fin area. If you just traced it 3/4 of an inch bigger transitioning to maybe an inch taller, it would help.
Put the other rudder on.
Put the tail wheel on a separate channel so you can can 'lock' it or reduce the throw significantly for takeoff. Your TX can handle this with one mix assigned to a switch.
Secure the battery. Even a small strip of velcro glued to the floor to keep it from sliding or accidentally jumping the curb.
Check the thrust lines and incidences. It needed a LOT of rudder to keep it flying straight.
Let me know if you want help with anything. I can make myself available just about anytime for you.

Oh, BTW, reduce the Shuttle aileron to about 60%. You can use the D/R function.

Call anytime if you have questions. I really only look at this forum once every few months.

If you have to ask, it's probably not a good idea.

Hi all
Have a question. I have the Hyperion Stuka that I “upgraded” from a 3s 4000to a 4s 5000. Also replaced the prop to a smaller size. I did this to make it faster and it is. But since I did this, I’m having a bit of a problem keeping it level at high speed. At about 50% throttle (my cruise speed) I trim it and it flies straight and true. But as I increase throttle to 70-80%, nose goes up and it climbs quickly to the point I have to giving it almost 50% elevator down and keep it there to straighten it out. So, is that just a cause of too much power, bad trim, or is my CG off and the tail is to heavy??
I thought it was wind at first but I have the same issue upwind and down wind.

Maybe the thrust angle is to far up.
