Fly small out of a vacant lot. There is a rodeo park/fairgrounds as you roll down the hill into Payson to the west (left...military left) that is open enough for park flyers.
BUT, not much Mom/Son time in that.

HALP!

The Lancaster is about ready to test under power and I have some requirements I am trying to reconcile.

It needs to be propelled by these GWS 3-bladed props. OK, get prop adaptors for 3 bladed props.

Problem: Because we are being extra careful to keep it scale (it's going in a museum), we want to use these rubber spinners for 3-bladed props. The spinners require a shaft squeezing into a tube right into their centers to keep them in place.

The motors have shafts of 3mm

How do (can) I achieve all of this?

That prop is best used with a prop adapter or threaded shaft. Being you have neither you may have to machine something to work that will still leave enough shaft for the hub to fit onto. Maybe not what you wanted to hear so let the experts chime in.

Oh, I have a lathe and some alumimum rod.

Thread the end of the shaft, and use a jamb-nut set-up. Then just push the nosecone on the threaded shaft.

Are you volunteering Rick??

Let me make sure I understand- You can make an aluminum adaptor for the prop shaft that can be threaded for the spinner? The threading goes all the way back so the prop can be fastened with hex nuts? Or does the aluminum shaft go forward of the prop? My only proplem I see is that the motor shaft is only 1/2 inch.
