+1 on this. On most of my planes, I've gotten comfortable flying with "high rates" all the time, with a lot of expo, but I don't fly any 3D or anything that requires a lot of precision.

I am putting some pretty big peel and stick decals on the Eagle 580.
Any helpful suggestions to get them right?
What do I clean the plane with?
Is there a easy way to get them on without sticking to where I don't want to?
Thanks

Jeff -- I believe people use a light spray of water with just a tiny bit of soap in it. I haven't done it, but you can probably do a search to find proper way to do. I think you place it, and then have to leave it alone for a few hours for the water to naturally dry out and then the adhesive on the decal will stick.

Also doing it with more than one person can help keep edges from folding over, etc.

When I applied the Vinyl car "Cubs" decal to the bottom of my dad's first Slow Stick, I used water, dish soap, and a few caps full of rubbing alcohol. Be certain to do a test on a scrap of the decal first. Some of the materials may not work well with the alcohol. Here's the instructions I had on making the application fluid:

Step 3: Make up some Wet Application Fluid:
You can make you own application fluid with 4 drops of dishwashing liquid (Dawn, Joy, or similar dishwashing soap) to 1 quart of water in a spray bottle. For
emergencies, keeping a bowl of this handy to dip the decal in can save the day when things go wrong. (Glass Plus or other non-ammonia window cleaner may
also be used for applying vinyl decals in a pinch).
1. Before you start, rub the decal down on a hard surface with a credit card or squeegee it to insure the protective “Pre Mask” layer is well adhered to the
vinyl decal prior to placement. Lines or wrinkles in the pre mask layer should have no effect on the final installed decal.
2. Cut the intended portion of the decal you wish to install from the sheet leaving some room for installation.

In a nutshell, clean the area thoroughly first. Then, spray on the application fluid. Lay the decal on top. Squeegee out the water with an old fake credit card, making certain to work from the center toward the edges. Once all the water is out, let it sit for a bit. Don't try to peel the carrier off just yet. Once you are certain there is no water underneath, peel off the carrier SLOWLY, at a hard angle (Less than 45*) to the sheet that's still attached.

FWIW, the decals on my dad's Slow Stick are still on solidly, and follow the contour of every rib. No bubbles, rips, folds, seams, or anything.

Jeff, my guess is there are no batteries?
Maybe Tom pulled some strings with Atlas and got paid to hand deliver to you.

Yeah, and you paid for it too in extra shipping.

I placed an order with them on 4/2. It just left HK yesterday, and I don't expect to see it for another week. But shipping was $15 cheaper (I ordered a lot of stuff for the store).
