Be sure you use a heat gun made for model covering, I've seen posts of guys using other heat guns which are way too hot and ruin covering.

I am out of town for work otherwise I would do a drive by, but has anyone checked on our field today?

OK, guys. I have a dilemma.
You guys saw me write about my upcoming project the P-47. I almost have all my ducks in a row. (Thanks for the great advice everyone).
I’m planning to get the Hacker A50-14L motor, Castle Phoenix Ice 100 ESC.
But the battery/s are the problem. For example, if I get the 8S 5000mah, I would need to get a new charger that can do 8S batteries.
Or I can go with 2X 4S 5000mah, run it in series and use my current Hyperion charger that goes up to 6S.
So my dilemma is which option is more cost effective in the long run?? One 8S battery is cheaper than two 4S (used Hyperion G3 for comparison). But with an 8S, I need buy an 8S charger.
Any thoughts?

I run two 4 cells in series with that exact motor in my Hangar 9 warbirds. My recommendation is two 4 cells. You can use the smaller packs in another project later or in the case of a crash you may lose only one pack I stead of the whole 8 cell.
Go with two 4 cells. You can't go wrong.

+1, I run 2 4s packs in my Hawker Hunter, and I plan on using them individually in my upcoming T-28 project, buying two allows you a bit more versatility, and you don't have to buy a bigger charger.

That's the setup I run in the big yellow Funtana. +1 on the 2X 4S 5000s. A lot more flexibility. I use 2 separate charges and charge them at he same time.

Good news/bad news
The good news is the flying field is as we left it last week. Nice.
The bad news is there are still two semi's sitting on the old west side rope area.
Until those are moved we can't fly. I will call my contact at the GPC tomorrow and request they be moved. There is still on attraction there and maybe those are for it.
