Ive got 6 3s2200 that would be great doubled up. Maybe Ken can come up with a good wind on the 3615 for a 14x7 or 15x6 to make ~1000W.

As for servos - yes, the 5085's will be awesome. I'm running the 85's and they are fine but I'll eventually upgrade to the 5085's. There are other servo choices out there but IMHO there's no need to look elsewhere if you're planning on getting the 5085's. You'll definitely want the Dubro arms you referenced.

About 480kv would be the ticket. I've run one of the cheapo Turnigy 3040A motors on 6s and it rocks in a model of this size, awsome power. Though the Turnigy has tons of power i've got my doubt about it's longevity in a 3D model but a 3615 with a similar wind would be awesome.

Ideally for 3D you would want smaller batteries than 2200mAh though, two of them comes in a bit heavy (360g or so). 2 x 3s, 1800mAh would be ideal.

I think losi has a video with a porky 51... 3s 1800 would be ideal at around 300g of battery, but 6s will rock on this plane.

Yeah l had a 450gram battery in mine for a while.

I have ran a 460kv 3615 too. Ran it on 2 3s 1800s. Had it on a 15x7. Great power. I would try to get a 480ish kv if you want to use a 14x7.

but will it not be too much stress on such a small batteries?? i tried 800kv hacker on 6s with 11x5 prop... it was around 1000w at 30-something A, but batteries was sagging like mad...

Had no sagging issues. It only pulled a little over 40 amps. That's nothing for a Hyperion 35c 1800

wouldn't the draw be cut in half with the two batteries... 20A from each for a total of 40A? If thats the case 20/1.8=11.1C per battery. Even 40A is only 22.2C for a 1800mAh battery

No still 40 from both. The 43 amps is peak and it drops from there so again not an issue.

Ok... I stand corrected. But still shouldn't be a issue with true rated 25C or better batteries.
