It's been said before (multiple times) but I just have to repeat that expo is a very personal thing.

For me personally, I find that I need lower expo on smaller planes and slightly higher expo on larger planes but I never go beyond 70% or so. Also, I prefer less expo on rudder and elevator with a good bit higher on ailerons. But I think that's because a lot of my flying is low and slow stuff and I like have a very responsive tail so that I can make lots of small corrections. I find that if my expo is too high on the tail that I tend to over control when I don't get the response I'm looking for right away.

Expo feel is different between radios too. Servos effect the feel of the Expo as does control throw.
On my 71 slick with hitec 7954 Servos at 8.2 volts l have 80% on the ailerons with 45* of throw, 81% on the elevator with 64* of throw, and 62% on the rudder maxxed out throw.
My 51 slick with hitec 5085s set at 6.2 volts is set to
78% on the ailerons with 45* of throw, 78% on the elevator with 65* of throw, 68% on the rudder and its maxxed out.

Yup!!! Well what else would you call a band that the youngest member of the band was 47, and the oldest 54....

Of course D.O.M. also stood for other things depending on where we were playing.... "Dancing on Mars", "Dirigibles over Moscow", "Descent Of Man" etc.... City organizations that hired bands for "Music in the Park" series, were not fond of "Dirty Old Men"....

At one time we were thinking of changing the mane to "American Standard Band" (kind of a play on "Average White Band".....but we decided not to....as it people might not like that one either.....I'll let you see if you can figure out why not.....

American Standard does make other things like HVAC. So you only want to distance yourself from one of their product lines.
