Douglas Aircraft Silhouette

This is probably a long shot, but here goes nothing.....

Anyone have a Silhouette kit out there still that they wouldn't mind getting rid of?

If there are no kits, I would be all for a set of plans so I could just put one together from scratch.

Thanks guys!

I have one

hutch,
I have a silhouette that I regretfully have to part with. it has been sitting in my tool shed for 5 years. I flew great and I reluctantly have to part with it. The only problem is missing horizontal stab and vertical stab. I have purchased balsa and square spruce for LE. $60 plus shipping or will sell plans and instruction booklet for $15.I will send pictures tonight.

er.......that was "$10 total" for the plans and instructions!

Plane and sheet balsa and spruce is $60 plus shipping and packageing material (i.e. box for shipping and postage cost)

Hutch, you and I have similar tastes. If you find one and get excess offers, send them my way. I'd love to have one of these or a Quicksilver. The Quicksilver first sparked my interest in sloping in 1990 when I saw one at Coyote Hills.

I'd prefer one with a composite fuselage. Anybody know if those were ever offered by Douglas Aircraft?

FG Fuses were offered at one point in time for the ridiculous markup of something like 20 bucks over the standard kit.

Codezilla on the groups was working on a new plug and mold based on the plans a while back. I'm not sure if he ever got 'er wrapped up though.

Hutch - check with Dominic - see what he has stashed away. Next will be the Quicksilver? - Unbelievable how these planes stay around for the next generations.
