oldpilot,

Beautiful job on the "Blackbird"! Brought back memories of Okinawa, 1968, when they flew out heading northwest. I remember looking up at one as it flew over at about 1000 ft and then the pilot kicked it into high gear and it literally disappeared from view in 3 seconds.

Thanks much for the memory,

Hankg

Love that Blu-Guppy, and love building in foam.
Unfortunately I no longer have room for a model that big.

Cheers. Paddy.

can you please tell me where the CG is on the plans for the F-22 Raptor you gave me back on page 6

thank you,

The first flight was very twitchy as the large control surfaces had far too much throw. This was reduced mechanically and also an adjustable movement reducer was plugged in between the RX and the ailerons which allowed fine tuning of the aileron movement.

After that she flew fine. The Yellow tails were good for visibility in the air, but she was still a bit "Stealthy" if you got a bad background.

But this is what she looked like in the sky.

Battery was a Ni Cad flat pack placed right on the CG (for the needed slope soaring weight), four small servos on Y leads, and only a two channel TS was needed. Antenna was routed along the wing under the covering.
Altogether a very simple quick and inexpensive way to get a sharp looking and good flying Slope Soarer.
Cheers. Paddy.

Go back to page 8. Post 109. which tells you how to get the three view. Print it down A4 and take it to your local print shop and have it blown up to the size you want.

Cheers. Paddy.

Mattbee,

The CG for the Tomhe F-22 in post #90 is 21 1/4" from the nose of the plane.

OK, that video WAS awesome! Very cool stuff and very entertaining.
Towards the end when you were dropping vehicles & the tank was fun to watch. Especially when the tank was dropped in the grass, it lands on it's treads, and then proceeds to drive off.

Again, very cool man.

No I gotta go check the thread & see what gear & supplies I need to buy next!
