Is there any where on this thread for a indoor foam hovercraft been looking for one for some indoor fun but can not find one I know they are out there some where but I just cant find them any where.

I've built a couple of Al's (Balsa or Carbon) hovercraft, then I started trying to design my own. I have learned a lot. I now know LOTS of things not to do. I've been experimenting with skirts for outdoor use on rough terrain. It's not too difficult on "scale" rough terrain, but the sort of stuff I am actually running into (a 2" tuft of grass) would be 5' high bushes in real life. Makes it challenging.

Anyway, we've been discussing it off-and-on in a sort of chatty forum starting around http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=344 It's a free form discussion so drop in and lets talk more hovercraft !!!

Still need the GEAR, Servo, receiver, batt. Wing span is 38 in. Fuz. is built out of 2" Blue foam from RV Vactory wall foam. Good foam Will send info. to Headsuprc and let Jeff work out the power needed. . Wings and the rest built out of the Pink foam. This has been a play around thing to see what I could come up with. Going to be heavy. Have to weigh. May need a Mack truck size motor to fly.

Its an Expanded Polyolefin Foam. Its composed of small closed cells which make it perfect for Molded Airplane bodies. Its Light and quite strong. Most store bought planes are made of the stuff.
