There is an art to grinding off the excess (or so I've heard). C.F.Lee Mfg.Co. 10112 Woodward Ave. Sunland, CA 91040 (818)352-3766 Newman tools has a kit for $125! On the other hand, it comes with 10 inserts: http://www.newmantools.com/price/stkpr04.htm >I have a saito twin and expect to >need another heli coil for the other cylinder some day. >Appreciate any tips. It must be something internal to rcgroups. I tried replying to him by e-mail, but it didn't work. Hello,
TIME-SERT makes a kit for the 1/4-32 spark plug kit p/n 0142SP http://www.timesert.com/html/0142SP-note.html They also recommend a sealer that goes to 500 degrees for the extenal thread. The kit is about $90 and would probably be useful for RC engine re-builders. ![]() D |

I don't know for sure.
