Looking very Good, I looked over my shoulder as well doing a depature stall, and thats all it took. Piper had way too many problems with this aircraft for me to continue to be a test pilot. I went back to the trusty old 150/152.

Here is another update. The wings are framed up. We are getting closer. This is how I put the wings together. I did not finish sheeting the top of wings until after I had the wings joined together. The reason why I decided to do it this way is so I could clamp the spars together for a great bond. Anyway, here are more pictures. Next I will put the Landing Gear blocks in place.

I too flew the "T" back in the early 80's, i'm also in for a kit!

Here are some pictures of the bottom of the wing install the landing gear mounts. Although the parts to the mounts were laser cut. I had to build up the mounts. I also made some brackets that glued to the ribs for more support for the landing gear. After I had the mounts glued in place I decided to fiberglass the bottom of the wing. This is probably way overkill for strength but I also wanted this to be rugged for touch and go's on grass. After the fiberglass was done I made the fairing on the wing to blend into the fuselage.

I have been plugging away on getting a short kit plans completed for a short kit. Anyway, I am planning on releasing the short kit in the middle to end of July. BMK Designs will be selling the short kit. I don't have a price for it yet. Here is the link to BMK Designs: http://www.bmkdesigns.net/

Here are some pictures of the installation of the aileron servos and landing gear installation. I had to grind down the servo hatches in order for the servos to fit into the wing. I also centered the servos in the hatches and glued the servos to the hatches with Shoe Goo. I had to cut part of the rear spar for the servos to fit. This did not affect any of the strength of the wing. I also built the ailerons for the wing.

Sweet! That looks great in flight – good job.

Watching the spin brings back memories of spinning the real plane. I bet the model comes out of a spin much better. After 3 turns it’s locked into a good tight rotation and doesn’t just automatically stop spinning like a Cessna does.

This bird flies very well. It came in at 27.6 ozs. The Power is fair. This bird is your typical scale flying plane, stable. When I would slow it down to stall it. The left wing tip would drop. When I land it. It does best with power on. I have 4 flights on it now and it is fun for Touch and Go's. The Spins with this airplane are fun too. I let go of th sticks at it pops right out of the spin.

To finish this project up, and I am going to build #2 at the end of May to double check all the Cad work. I made a few changes in the Cad file for the next one. I am also drawing up the plans so they will be easier for you to understand when it comes to building.

I am not expecting the release of the short kit until July. I apologize it will not be sooner.
