Aiptek Action HD 1080p Camcorder 720p@60FPS and new A-HD+

Aiptek has a new camcorders out.

Action HD

So far I only see it listed at Walmart but it's out of stock.

They also have a new A-HD+ model out -

Both can do 1080p, but I think 1440x1080.
Both can also do 720p but at 60FPS making it perfect for aerial videos.
I'd like to pick one up once available to test it.

Feel free to post reviews and videos here...

i'm prepping to buy a Samsung NV24HD. Its a point and shoot camera, but also does 720p30. I'd hoped to start doing some AP with it. ~5oz.

I am however extremely extremely jealous of the 60hz refresh rate. That would be extremely nice to have.

I just bought the A-HD+ and it's a really decent camera for the price. I hacked it apart and got it down to 2.2 ounces without the case and some other bits that weren't essential for my application. You can actually get it to about an ounce without the LCD. I shorted a wire so that it turns on without the buttons on the LCD.

What I'd really like to do is figure out how to overlay a video signal so I can record directly with the camera. Imagine a GPS data overlay, video out to a wireless transmitter, and HD recording all in one shot. I'm giddy!

It uses a chip from Ambarella (http://www.ambarella.com/docs/A2FactSheet.pdf) to run most of the camera. I've been probing the chip, however, they may not have run traces to all the pins.
