Stingeron (Production is Underway!)
Check out the clean "aerodynamicness" of that fuse! The wires hanging off should really help things too. It's like a TWF profile 3Der. It's got some really sweet no-name double-centering $15 metal gear servos to top it off.
The wing cores were cut on the new CNC hotwire machine. I'm loving it now that I have it calibrated. If we have any wind, this thing should take flight tomorrow. This will be the wing pivot point test. If these dumpy servos get the job done, then the mold sets will be made with detentes to mark all the fuse holes. The actual fuse will be double carbon, joggle-gasketed, and black naked. I think I'll do the canopy in the silver funky stuff. I'll post some video if I can find a mid-day camera man. Did you and Andreas go to the same aerodynamics school?
Seriously, very nice design. much larger than I thought it would be. Keep up the work and get the video! Killer |

I was hoping that you were going to be getting this project back in action since your CNC is working. Congrats on that and to getting the Stingeron going

I'm loving the CNC. Now that it's calibrated for the foam, it pretty sweet. It's awesome to be able to tweek and airfoil without having to make whole new set of templates.
Unfortunately, I had to pack up my whole shop for a couple of weeks. Drywaller and painters are getting busy! I only have 5 mph winds here so far today! Blow dang-it!!!! Adam |

O.K. - I've got 15 mph winds. Time to blow this joint and go fly. I'll have to do video from a tripod.
I'll report soon! Adam |
