Dartmouth Sunday

This was the first time I tested a new FlyCam-1-V2 digital camera and a Curve-RC trigger. Stuck it to the underside of an old OLY-II with Velcro.

Bruce DeVisser helps Brian Chan retrieve his DLG.
That's a tough way to win an an all-up, last-down contest Brian.

3 Supras and a gaggle of DLG's.
Bruce is watching 5 DLG's aloft simultaneously (until Brian's tree landing).

Guys,

It was great to be out and about. Brian was kind enough to shuttle me to the field (his idea). If I had my Danny's rudder and stab horn fixed I would have flown, but I haven't been able to get into the shop yet. Soon, very soon.

Rich Duder had a perfect first flight on his Supra - what a majestic bird to watch!

Thermals were plentiful, enough that the DLG guys were doing aerobatics and staying up.

Bruce

Sean,

Yes, Moswey III. I might maiden it on Saturday at Los Banos. The one in the Avatar is the real thing.

I almost brought my AP(aerial Photography) Slow stick to capture some local scenery. I have to bring it next time.

The Dartmouth field was a bit un-forgiving today. Dick had his hi-start staked further away than usual, adding a bit to the usual tow line tension. He had a most unfortunate radio issue on his second launch, and sadly his OLYII plowed-in on tow. Not more than five minutes later, Al's Easy-Glider was un-able to withstand the mighty pull of the high-start, & sadly the wings folded on launch. This was the end of the carnage, & the rest of the day went well with warm sun, a light breeze, & scattered thermals.

Yes, this is my 35 year old Windfree. It is so old the glue is getting brittle, but it still flies
