Great Planes RV-4 kit
Has anyone electrified the Great Planes RV-4 kit listed in Tower Hobbies catalog? I am interested in knowing where weight cutting is possible and advised. Also interested in power setup, ie, motor, cells, Prop, etc.

Hey Pep...welcome to the Ezone.
Well, I haven't built the RV-4, but I've read about it. I think the general concensus is that that it isn't the best electric conversion. The wood qulity sounds to be the big problem. I'm sure others will have some more info. Check out this thread about an electric RV-7 if you still want to buy a Vans aircraft.

Figured I'd throw my hat out there. I have a smaller RV-4 kit comming out mid-february. Not quite a parkflyer (thugh it's definetly a small field flyer)- gonna be a bit faster - but never-the-less -It's an RV-4. Should be a good match for a Mega 16/15/x or Hacker B20L. We are flying it on a GWS-EPS300C and it behaves well - but motor life tends to be an issue with the 300 size can.
