Hello

I wish to fly my model planes in Turkey in fone week or two weeks of month of July August or Sept 2008 some 200 kms close to Dalaman airport Agean sea

Model Planes I own and wish to bring with me to Turkey
are Graupner Biplane 1400mm ultimate motor 120 4 stroke (20cc)
MPX twinjet glow version 25 ST (4cc) converted Twinjet with pusher prop

Also some few small electric planes including pylon racers and s400 Horji 1.4meter glider s
s400 pylon Voodoo
Aeronaut f5d limited
One Horji 1500mm Salomi discus launch glider (DLG )with bungee

Is there a local model club there near Dalaman??

Is there a good slope soaring hills nearby ???

Is there a local hobby shop LHS ??

which can sell me glow fuel zero nitro or 5% nitro
preferably synthetic lubrication oil

but Castor or Castor synthetic mix will do
and what costs ?? per litre or 4 litres

What are the rules and frequency to use my equipment is standard European 35 mghz but I also posses French 41 mghz if that is good

If I find there is no model plane clubs in this region
and no suitable shops
which shop will supply fuel from big towns like Istanbul
and can speak English or French or have methods to communicate
and will accept credit cards
and will ship to my my location
which is not my house but my close family who own this residence

I will have to consider only to bring electric plane and gliders

Is fuel E85 available easily in most all Turkey
as I can also mix 40% E85 into the glow fuel to make my engines work and save costs

Is neat Methanol available and I can bring my own oil and mix in Turkey if pre-made fuels are not available or to costly to ship from Istanbul or similar

If the problems are too much I can just bring my electric planes
and if problems for local regulations are to much
like to expensive or costly for many reasons like time energy money etc
I will just have to leave my planes at home and stick to sunning on the beach and chasing the girls instead oh ok

All good local information greatly appreciated on this forum or PM whichever is most suitable

also useful links like this can help from Istanbul model club very nice runway

thanks I did
but now boss has made big change to my plans and looks like I cant get plane flights to fit around this change this year as all the fairly cheaper flights are booked up at that time of the year this year and the rest are way to expensive and will have to probably do France instead and do Turkey in November Decenmber January instead

typical bosses never pay eneogh and mess everything up at a whim
looking like IZMIR will be better than Dalaman for airport seems to be cheaper

keep you posted
