After a while of building my EZ* is almost ready to fly. All I need now are ailerons, the back stab and elevator glued in and some time to fly

The motor is E-flite SIX series 2000kv inrunner, should be great with a 6x5.5 prop.
The main batt. is 2100mah and the video batt is 800mah
500mv, 2.4ghz transmitter and kx131 cam.

Im not going to lead much info about the trap doors for now as I have plans to make a great video with the use of trap doors. I just hope this idea will work.

If something falls out of that bay, wouldn't it move the plane's CG forward?

I am not planning, that's what I already do on a regular basis.
I had to rename my EZ* "Rosie de Palma". If you don't know her, google her, and you'll understand :-)

I don't think there is too much material in there. Do you? My goal was to make the 7 pieces (actually 4 different ones, but sharing the same outside perimeter) easy to fix, or reproduce and change, even in the field.

I don't think the cage will protect the camera a lot in case of a real crash, but maybe it will help guide it through the "firewall" in red on the picture rather than eject anywhere.

The fuse is almost ready. Octagonal too. same diameter on full length

Hmmm, some kind of nose turret on a bomber?

Let me make a guess on that trap door's usage:
It is the place to keep a small digital camera. Once u are over the target area, u open the door to take pics/movies.

Am i right?

I would actualy like to do that one day but the problem would be that the cam weights and that would make the plane tail HEAVY.. Unless I would move the main pack.. Hmmm
