anyone use easter eggs for cowls?

Anyone using those plastic easter eggs as a cowl? They come in many sizes and ide think they would make for a decent cowl.

I've used them for noze cones...
I've used them to make "flour bombs" (add fins and a couple of eye screws to hang it... 1/4 fill with flour)

No reason you can't use one as a cowl if it fits where you want it.

Wouldn't they be a bit heavy? And when they start to rot, ewww...Unless you're talking the chocolate ones, then I don't think they'd have the structural strength and they'd just melt if they got warm. Make a real mess...

I also used some as bomb drops, which reminds me that I should pick up a bag in the after Easter sales in case I might wanna try that again with electrics. It was pretty fun until the plane hammered into the ground (.60 tower hobbies trainer) at full throttle due to a dead receiver battery. Took 3 guys to pull the fuse out of the ground. Definitely the most spectacular crash I've had.

The clear plastic protective covers found in some easter egg boxes always make me want to build another Catalina, they always remind me of the Cat's cupola's.
