Berkut progress

Friday 21 Mar:
Glassed and mounted fan rails
Balanced fans (lost spinner screw )
Ran fans up, drew up power/current curves. Expect ~750w per fan on 6s, 1100 on 7
Mounted RHS main gear

Pics attached.

Tomorrow, panel gear/fan section. Cut out fan housing, mount fan properly. Panel intake section.
Think about intake plugs, wings.

Looking good brother. Will you continue to post the build in this thread, or make a new thread for each stage?

Note to self:
Mount gear so spring and axle oppose each other; moves gear mount outboard so duct will fit.
Change RHS?

What I wanted to do: Panel gear/fan section. Cut out fan housing, mount fan properly. Panel intake section.
Think about intake plugs, wings.

What I did: Paneled gear/fan section, needs trimming. Moved RHS gear, cut out gear slot. cut out RHS lower wing

Missed out on:
Cut fan out (due gear obstruction)
Panel intake section (due time constraints from glue drying on gear)
Mount fan (due fan housing not being cut out)

That'll do for today. Tomorrow: Do what I should have done today.
Note: When installing intake section panel, have gear lowered. Dremel away.
