low wing loadings float the best..
Ive had big Nutballs up to 5ozsqft and 32oz + AUW.... these are good in outside windy situations.. and all fly well.. Josh and josh above were going on how the Nutballs don't like the wind, but in my opinion there are only a few lightweight models that do... for windy conditions models get better as they get bigger and heavier.. the Nutball is no exception There are limits to going too big, as they get more and more docile.. 26-32 is about as big as I would recommend |

nutball on the way
Here is my nutball. Electronics not installed yet. I`ll install the electronics posted before, but it looks like its too tail heavy. It was made from a foam board like elmers (here in Portugal is called k-line) with the paper pealed off in one side for the body, but the rudder has paper on both sides.
Does the rudder looks too big? I dont have the electronics right here, but i did some experiments with similar weights and it doesnt balance at 25%. Any ideas? |

Ramen - looking good so far
I was working on my nutbball this weekend and have it done except for the LG. Mine doesn't balance out to 25% either but it is somewhere in 33% range. I had about the same balance on my BluDart that I built not too long ago it flies wonderful so I am not that concerned. I will post some info on mine soon.Kman |
