new spoiler arfs coming
i have been looking forward to the new spoiler arfs coming out for awhile. i can tell you guys that have never flown one to get ready for one of the best all around flying planes ever. if you remember the Jerry's Big Boy, this is the next level. the big boys and spoilers have been my go to planes ever since i started flying and even now that i fly mostly giant scale gassers the spoiler is always in the trailer or waiting on the flight line.

Great looking SPOILER, Randy! We are getting geared up for Spoiler Prototype testing now and looking forward to the release of the model. This airplane was Designed by 7-Time National Fun-Fly champion, Jerry Smith, from Kentucky! We have fortunate enough to fly with Jerry and he can really wring this thing out! Jerry is responsible for several awesome models including the Extreme Flight OUTLAW, Morris Hobbies "Jerry's Big Boy" and the "Smith Super Special, to name a few, of which he worked with renowned Aerodynamicist, Team JR member and owner of VESS AERO, Professor Robert Vess, to design the airfoils. The model was previously available in short kit form or plan form. The Spoiler flying today were built by hand and are very fun and extremely aerobatic. More info coming soon for the contest. The Spoiler will be available in 2 color schemes, one of which is going to be the traditional "Splat" scheme and the other will be decided with the contest. A new thread within this Sub-Forum will be started for the contest. Since Randy started this thread, we can use it for random chatter about the model. If you have pics of a Spoiler, feel free to share them with us here and any stories you may have of the model. Here is a collection of some of my favorite Spoilers:

It is a very interesting looking airplane. I’ve looked, but don’t see the spec’s for it? Also, has anyone used a brushless electric set-up on it, the shape looks like it would work well?

the spoiler is a 80" wing span and normally powered with a OS 160 2 stroke. i have never seen a electric but i would like to. maybe chris will be able to get the specs out for us soon.
