Hey Pops if Buddy doesn't like the new house I'd be happy to live in it. By the way can I use the Tbird tonight? Pete

The 'Bird is in her cage for the winter, but maybe we could work out something for next summer.

Apismelifera,

The outside roof is thatch, but there is a flat inner roof that is made of normal roofing materials.

Millertime,

I like your Buddy too. Looks like Mom likes him as well.

OBW,

Buddy is a little camera shy, but every once in a while he strikes a pose.

Thanks for the well wishes on the project guys.

Jinx and baby daughter CoCo. Jinx went off to find her forever home yesterday. CoCo with me for another week or so getting more socialized. They came from a rescue that had a rat dog, that got CoCo's brothers and sisters, so she still spends a lot of time hiding.

My beloved Millie is turning 13, Dec 31/Jan 1. She still runs around like she's 2. I enjoy every day with her because you never know how much longer you'LLC have them. Her name is Millie , short for milleneum(sp) as she was born around midnight Dec 31,1999.

Millie probably has a long time left. My Kody, an American Eskimo, lived 18 years and 5 months.

My cat used to destroy all the catnip mice we got her in an hour or less. The beast! Finally settled for a fresh bag of catnip poured into doubled up sock and sewed shut. Was good for about a year. She loved it.

It's never to late get them a toy.

have had a number of dogs over the years if you bought them a toy with a squeaky in it they would destroy the toy to get rid of the noisy thing, then just ignore it.

When my Lab was young he tore a squeaky out of a toy and carried it around and used it to "talk" to us.

My present Eskimo dog destroys whatever we give him in short order, usually gutting out the squeaker first---.

While not a new picture. This shows how difficult it can be in the workshop to get something done. Specialy with all the headbutting going on. Then too there is the stretching and napping on the shoulder trick.

My beloved dachshund Millie, who had her 13th birthday Dec31/Jan1, had a bit of a scare today. I noticed a protrusion from her rear in the same area she had a tumor removed last year. She was only able to have the surgery because of a donation/Cinderella fund. If this had been another tumor, I'm not sure what would have happened. LUCKILY, it was not a tumor. Thank you God.

Happy B. day indeed, those are well cared for critters.

I had a female Siamese, she made 21, the vet said regular teeth cleaning is the key for domestic Cat longevity ( and not living outdoors ).

Mr. McFee,
New foster kitteh. He has had a hard life, abandoned when his store closed and on the streets for three years being fed from out back of a near by store. He has been diagnosed with stomatitis and has had several teeth removed. He developed an ulcer on the outer side of his right eye which has caused half of the lense to cloud. He arrived with a herpes infection in the eye and very bad upper respiratory infection.
This little guy is the most happy and interactive kitteh one would want. He will not venture out of the office ( I think he thinks that if he goes outside the door will close and he will be stranded again) but follows the human around the office. He often pushes what is on the desk onto the floor so as to have a better sleeping spot.
Two more weeks with me as we get him use to using a litter box again, and then hopefully we can get him adopted.

My cat is also very fussy about what he likes to eat. Has always been a PITA about it.

Ah Spring

When I get up in the morning the first thing I have to do is raise the blinds in the kitchen. Reason being, My cats like to look out the window. It is better when it is warm enough to open the window as the cats love to sit in the window then. I took this picture this morning and I think they are anticipating the window being open soon. 13 degrees this morning! I dont think so.

Please help Beagle Rescue get some dog beds.

My dog, a Beagle, has been entered into a contest. It is sponsored by Kuranda Dog Bed company. It is a popularity contest. There are four dogs to choose from. The dog picture that gets the most votes, wins. And the shelter or rescue that is sponsored by that dog, gets the five free beds from Kuranda.

Please vote for "Freckles the Beagle" so that the Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue can win the beds.

Voting can be done every day, for the entire month!

If you have a Facebook account, you can sign in and vote with it. Otherwise you will need to register on the Kuranda site. I know that turns people off though.

Thank you!

Yes, I see you have them in the 'toe touching torture' position.

Yup, you can hardly see the wires tying their legs together.

Here are our 2 doggies, Chico and Maggie. Both schnauzer mix. We live in Loveland, CO, and I drove to Sikeston, MO to rescue Maggie, and to Mesa, AZ to rescue Chico They are a lot of fun, and we enjoy them both very much.

Have fun, Dave

I think the pic with two dogs is going to take it. The past several months, the 'multi-dog' pics have been the winners. Actually, all shelters and rescues are 'worthy' of getting the free dog beds. We just think it would be great if the Beagle rescue got them because, well, we love Beagles.

Thanks again everyone, for your participation.
