Thank all of you for your sentiments. We (Mrs. pops) adopt stray highway dogs on her travels back and forth to her family. Southbound dogs go to her family members in Kentucky, and Northbound dogs tend to come to our home in Pennsylvania. Bart, Molly, Phillip, and Marty were all highway stray dogs. Marty was very timid, but liked me for some unknown reason. He has left a big hole, but reading the kind thoughts from friends here has surely helped.

That's very nice Pops. You give those dogs much more life than they could ever expect out in the wild. In turn they just love ya to pieces. That's how it's supposed to be. Good job there. Pete

my semi-tame yard cat smokey(razorclaw-saberfang-birdsnatcher) must be mellowing with age as he actually let me take his picture without getting upset.. you can still see his attitude, "this is my yard, you are just visiting"

Sassy the Mommie went in this morning to be spade, she will then return to her humans.
The Babies, all five of them will be neutered some time late next week and then return to me for recovery and then off for adoption to their forever homes.

Tach, Those are adorable babies, I really want to compliment your photography. they would all make "calendar babies" What camera and lens are you using for those shots?
Also is any one of the babies showing "people affection skills"?

my gang going after each other

These guys were born in the crawl space under our porch. Mom got killed by a car and we didn't know they were there. Three days after seeing the dead cat in the road our housekeeper was smoking on the porch and saw one. She brought it in and we fed it milk, etc. We estimated it to be 4-5 weeks old. Two days later I heard loud meowing under the porch. It took another two days to catch the second one. That's a long time for a little baby to go without food or water. They now live in our guest house and are the most playful, lovingest kittens I ever saw. If you have kittens please get them a couple of those cat cubes from Walmart. They play with them all day. I just gave myself my last big toy, a new Mercedes so they are named Mercedes and Benz. Trying to find a home but I won't split them up. They idolize each other. We think the little one(Mercedes) is a girl and Benz is a boy. Except for size they're just about identical. Glad they stopped at two.
