Oh yeah, gotta love an AT-6... wish I lived in A-10 though. Speaking of which, the A-10s, F-15s and others are a blast to watch. I've got some nice video of the takeoffs/landings.

and to think I gripped about Schofield barracks on Oahu? We had our 'friends' there as well, they were the biggest cockroaches I'd ever seen. Great pics. Thank you! More views for the eatery folks.. If the hooches are that dingy, it sure gives me cause to wonder about the showers & chow hall. You have any female Heli pilots or Crew Chiefs there?

OH MAN! How could I forget the suggestion box! Well, I guess I'll just have to make one and put it up. First suggestion to go in it will be "start a war in a warm place where there are lots of bikinis"

As for the houses, and all, I've been in worse. We spend a lot of time making them as nice as we can inside. You can only do so much with plywood but we make due. That and we have a ton of gear we have to store in our rooms too. Fills up a lot of space.

As for the showers, well, imagine a 20' container with some sinks put in and 8 shower stalls big enough for a single Ethiopian to fit in. Rusty metal floors with wood planks over them, and occasionally there is even hot water. Honestly though, it could be much worse. I can live with it for sure for a year to fifteen months with no problem.

Man that's the lap of luxury there. Back in the day (2002) we only had tents. Great AC in the winter and smokin heating in the summer. Darn I miss Bagram. Airborne!
