Some dude in a big brown truck dropped this off at my doorstep about 30min ago.

Specs...

Wing Span - 48''
Length - 43''
Wing Area - 490 sq. in.
Flight Weight - approx 33.7oz
Wing Loading - 9.9oz/sq. ft.

Electronics...

Motor - Thrust 30
ESC - Quantum 40
Battery - Dualsky 3s 2200mah
Servos - Scanner RC SSV-9320MGs(bigger than the recommended servos, but they are what I have laying around)
Pilot - ME!

Mines ready for the electronics too! Let me see where do these black things with wires go? Seriously though, If you see anything weird at all please let us know, I'm not a pro yet and will take all the help I can get.

Wow, ARF really does mean 'almost' now. Edge5, is the battery tray larger than the KMD?

Mine is with UPS in Illinois, next stop Hermiston, Ore. But I should have by this weekend.

OK, I just did something very stupid!

Without looking through the manual first, I was trying to screw the wing bolts into the wing. They would screw in, but as soon as you gave a small pull on one wing, the nylon bolts would come right out.

After a while I decided to look at the manual. It turns out you are supposed to put the nylon screw in the wing sticking out, so that it slides into the fuse, and you use a nut on the inside of the fuse to hold it on. The whole time I had been trying to screw the wing bolt from the inside of the fuse into the wing.

So it was just operator error!

I dont know as I do not have a KMD.

What is the length/width of the KMD battery tray?

Hey, at least you checked to see if they were tight, after all the manual says "do not overtighten"

My nylon bolts on the KMD didnt fit like they were supposed to. I glued them in and the ended up a little crocked. Difficult to get wing off now.

I suggest you buy some metric wing nuts to make the wing fastening easier. You can get them at Lowes in the specialty drawers. It's either M3 or M4 but don't remember.

Hey edge,

If it's not too late, and not too much trouble, can you place your pack on the tray and take another pic from the same angle used in this pic:

By knowing the dimensions of your pack it could help some figure out if their thicker packs will fit. Alternatively you could measure the front battery bay opening width and height.
